Going Public 2021

Going Public: Advocacy, Activism, and Building Trust
May 19th & 20th
9:00 AM - 12 PM, Online

About

Research is rarely performed in isolation, or wholly within the bounds of the university. Back for its fourth year, the 2021 Going Public event explores the overlap between research, activism, and advocacy with a special focus on building trust with communities outside the university.

Join us for two days of talks with community leaders and researchers, plus practical workshops that will help you build skills to create social change through advocacy, engage with a broader audience, and showcase the importance of community-engaged research.

This free interdisciplinary event is open to all: faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students, and community members from outside the university.
